Ben Lomond

I had seen a photo of Jacobs Ladder (the steep section of road that makes it way up the mountain to the Ben Lomond ski village) some time ago and knew that if we had time, I’d love to drive up there and take some photos.

After winding our way up we spent about 30 minutes wandering around the ski village.  To be honest it is a very strange and eire place in summer, there was one other car up there, someone who was working on one of the cabins, other than that we were it.

I’m not sure of the history but I can’t help but think this place could be better used in summer, surely with the right promotion this area that is used for 3-4 months a year ( if it snows well enough) could be a great hiking and summer alpine area.
